Meet Hannah, a sophomore Accounting major from Paulding County, Georgia. She chose LaGrange for the opportunity to play softball and for our small class sizes, which she has greatly appreciated. "I love being able to speak directly with my professors and connect with them in and out of class. They are deeply invested in their students, not just helping us to retain what we need for exams but to retain it for our future. They deeply care about us and are working to prepare us for life outside of college." Besides softball, Hannah stays engaged on campus and in the community as vice president of finance for Kappa Delta, vice president of Campus Circles, and a Young Life leader for Callaway High School. What are her goals after graduating? "I don’t know the exact career I want to have, but I know I want to do finances for a corporation or business that serves the community in a positive way. I may even start a few small businesses of my own." #LCCloseUp #ExperienceTransformation

Today, our campus community came together to observe Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent—a season of reflection, renewal, and grace.

From receiving ashes in the library to worshiping together in the chapel, we were reminded of the words of Psalm 51:
"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."

May this season be one of growth and spiritual renewal for all.

LaGrange College Student-Athletes Kenzie Hornsby (senior Softball), Meredith Orton and Madelyn Orton (junior Volleyball), as well as Assistant AD Megan Hudson, participated in the kickoff to National Read Across America Week at Centralhatchee Elementary School in Heard County. The theme for the week is "Get in the Game, Read to Win". The Student-Athletes read short books and took time to talk with students about the sports they play, the importance of reading, hard work and teamwork.

“Read Across America Week” is sponsored by the National Education Association. Across the United States, thousands of schools, libraries, community centers, civic groups and numerous other organizations will participate by promoting the power of reading. We're beyond proud of our Panthers for their engagement with the youth in our local communities! 🐆📚
